Due to the problem of the characteristics of the ink screen, it cannot be partially refreshed for a long time, otherwise, it will leave residual images and lead to irreversible damage.

The size, resolution and selection of ESP32S3 are all excellent choices and makes a really useful display. However, it is confusing when building software as it's so easy to confuse advice/examples from the previous generation product, even the Github page isn't always clear. The documentation on the various sleep modes and correctly shutting down the display could also be improved. From the hardware perspective with the touch screen I wasn't overly keen on the double sided tape to stick the touch screen to the PCB as it's hard to align and impossible to split in the future, an assembly using screws and spacers is badly needed here. The pictures show some form of case or surround but this wasn't supplied with my device but would make use much easier, in fact a complete enclosure would be excellent. I also wish a few more GPIO pins could have been made more accessible including the I2C bus being used by the touch screen. My final request would be to able to wake the device by touching the touch screen using one of the ESP32 touch to wake pins. Overall a good board and I would buy again.
It's awesome to be able to create custom dashboards on this board.
Can be programmed with home assistant.
T5 e-Paper
Used to create a ESPHome device to monitor my photovoltaic solar system and power consumption at home. I love it.
There is very little documentation on the device from the manufacturer for being a dev board. Some generic lilygo example code and very hacky looking drivers in 2 versions that don't seem very mature. A low-res pinout and schematics that are partially in chinese (good luck working with these). Didn't get the ePaper to work at all :(
