Pretty nice, feature-rich board with a few quirks.

Lots of features for a nice little IoT device. The display is good, the ESP32 S3 with SPI RAM performs nicely too. GPIO is somewhat limited (only 6 pins available, all only with the proprietary Groove connector) but if you don't need a lot of them that's alright.

The touch screen is resistive and thus a bit touchy when screwing the device into a case (I got a lot of ghost touches and wrong touch coordinates due to being screwed in too tightly), but that can be worked around.

WiFi works well and has a decent range.

USB charging is a little weird: It only works with USB A to C cables, not with C to C cables. And when the device is plugged in, it cannot be turned off using power or reset buttons.

All in all, a pretty decent device for a very low price, with a handful of quirks that can be worked around.

This unit (T-HMI) is a fantastic device and I haven't stopped playing with the seemingly endless possibilities!
The esp32-s3 is a great processor , the display is bright and clear.
Have some trouble with selecting fonts , but that's the programming !
Beautifly presented as are all the Lilygo products ,so far tried.
