Got a question

I’ve been trying to return it since I got it. It’s slow. It’s buggy. I’ve sent in video. They tried to explain away the video suggesting I didn’t interact with the device in a way I clearly was. It’s getting to the point where I think I might have to do a chargeback
Hi, I have a complaint about the device, the touchscreen is very very slow, I mean you press a key and it take 5-6 seconds for the device to respond and the fcat that the screen doesn't have backlight is a big minus, I know it would empty the battery gaster, but it sux to not see the screen.
After seeing your comment, we attach great importance to the issues you have provided feedback on. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused by the slow response of the touch screen and the lack of backlight on the screen.
Our after-sales technical support team has proactively contacted you via email (email: orders@lilygo.cc )We will provide you with one-on-one technical support to help diagnose and solve touchscreen latency issues. Please pay attention to checking your email (including the trash can). We look forward to communicating directly with you and doing our best to solve your problem.
We have also recorded your suggestions on product design (such as backlight function) and will provide feedback to the product team for future improvement reference. Thank you for your honesty, it is crucial for us. We are committed to providing you with satisfactory solutions. What is the specific model of the product?
The UI/UX of this is truly one of the worst I've ever used. Very frustrating trying to navigate between screens. I pretty much immediately threw this in a drawer and instead just carry my Muzi R1 Neo and use the Meshtastic app.
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
We sincerely apologize that the product did not meet your expectations.
Regarding the screen navigation issue you mentioned, our engineering team would be happy to investigate potential solutions if you could provide more specific details about the (operating steps) you were taking.
Thank you for your patience.
Compared with Meshtastic on a conventional screen (eg T-Deck Plus), it is really hard to navigate the e-ink version on T-Deck Pro. Clicking cycles through navigation options in a loop rather than what you would expect from a touch screen. Difficult to get screen active again after pausing. But at least this Pro doesn’t suffer from having a prominent easy to press Reset Button sticking out the side which the PLys has.
It's hard to fault the hardware for the UI's shortcomings given they're developed separately, but this is definitely not ready for use as a standalone Meshtastic radio. There are much better options for phone-paired radios. If you're looking for a standalone Meshtastic radio, get the T-Deck Plus, which has the full Meshtastic UI. I'll only dock it a star, as the hardware is very good, and this seems to have one of the best internal antennas of anything I've used. I was quite impressed with how far it could be heard. Don't bother with the 4G version unless you plan to cross-flash other firmwares, Meshtastic will likely never support cellular.
