First time with esp32, ended up great for my application

This is my first time using an esp32 let alone a display attached to one and it's been great. I recommend using visual studio with platformio for coding, and eez studio for desiging a GUI in LVGL (it's free unlike squareline studio and more features imo).
I have been able to create a GUI interface to control a few websocket servers and it looks great, smooth, high res and bright enough outdoors (haven't tried on a super sunny day but I would compare it roughly to an iphone screen at normal viewing distances).
I believe this is one of very few amoled (or OLED) touch screens in this size category which is why I bought it as it fit my requirements of being an amoled touchscreen of this size.
The only thing I could possibly say is if it's at full brightness there's a little bit of image retention (for example if you have a bright color on a dark background then switch to a dark screen then you'll see a difference in brightness where the bright color was for a minute or so but it's not noticeable from normal viewing distances and disappears after a minute so it hasn't been a problem at all for me).
Processor seems strong enough to handle a few websockets and a fairly intricate GUI that i created as long as you use freertos tasks one for gui and others to keep it operating smoothly using both cores then it remains responsive always.

Overall I'm really happy with it and looking forward to see what improvements they might bring in a new version

Another fantastic board from LilyGo!

I have been using the T4-S3 boards extensively for the past few months. Have not had any issues with these fantastic little devices. Amazingly sharp screen, fast responsive touch, solid build quality. If you are starting out, the GitHub repository has everything you need to start developing your own custom, touchscreen-based applications. My suggestion is to use Visual Studio Code with the PlatformIO extension. I would give this device 10 stars, if LilyGo would add an SX1276 LoRa chip to the board - it would be the ultimate!

Dangerous Expansion Header

Nice product.

Burned two of these units by plugging in expansion board with pins offset by 1 row. This is very easy to do since the board is usually inside a case and you can not see the header very well. Should have keyed header, or better protection electronics to avoid this.

I would like to buy two replacement board only. Can you provide info?
