Fantastic mesh communicator for LoRa & WiFi

I'm the developer of ChatterBox mesh firmware. I already liked T-Deck and knew it was great, but still requiring users to assemble devices just doesn't cut it.

With T-Deck Plus, these things are ready to run right out of the box, and I can tell you the internal LoRa antenna (I've tested 915 and 868 versions) are very well-tuned. I have a node with 48" antenna (roof-mounted) based on t-deck supreme as my "base station", also running through a 1 watt sunhaus amp.

With that setup, the 915 T-Deck Plus was able to receive/transmit encrypted packets 6 MILES, I kid you not. I was expecting maybe a couple..wow.

The WiFi seems stable as well. My firmware simultaneously uses WiFi and LoRa transceivers, basically hopping back and forth polling each for activity, and also sends out "pings" every 30 seconds or so with encrypted GPS coords and other stuff. It also writes out encrypted data to an SD card every couple of minutes or so.
With all that activity going on, these devices will run stably for weeks, assuming I have them plugged into power (I haven't had time to see the limit there).

They are picky about SD cards. I have a working list of known-compatible SD cards at www.offgridcomms.club/help/compatible-sd-cards/

The touch screen works well. The trackball works extremely well (and interrupts attached to it work well). The keyboard is easy to work with.

The GPS seems quite accurate, although it does sometimes take 60+ seconds to acquire a signal.

The only things I haven't tried out so far are the microphone, speaker, and maybe more that i'm not aware of.

Hi!
Thank you for your feedback, I would like to add something about SD compatibility, according to our testing, anything under 32G is fine at the moment, we haven't tested more than 32G
